I think that the 2nd part of that proverb is something like this:
You better hope that it's a long way down and/or that you can build wings really quickly -- otherwise you'll hit the ground before your wings are built. And then you will most likely die.

On a serious note, however, as a fellow blogger, I recognize that one does not usually post things simply at random. Based on that, I can assume that this proverb holds significant meaning for you right now. It makes me wonder...what kind of leap is Jenny pondering...

For what it's worth, I recall hearing a comment by Phil Pringle a year or so ago; he reminded the listeners that, "It's the steps of a righteous man/woman that are ordered of the Lord, not the sittings." Sometimes you just need to step out in faith and let Him direct you. You know, the whole "Peter never would have walked on water if he hadn't first stepped out of the boat" thinking... :-)
