do you ever go several years without ever hearing a certain song that you listened to when you were younger and then all of a sudden you hear it two or three times in one day . . . isn't that weird?

Three times. That is a lot. I usually think it's crazy hearing an old song the first time, especially when you find you can sing all the words by heart even when you haven't sung it for 8 years. This happened to me the other day when I heard "Semi-charmed life" by Third Eye Blind.
